Re: Dimensions, Sizes and Inertias of Pioneer3dx robot

Hi

The dimensions are correct, but the inertial matrices were design to leave a stable simulation and have NOT been identified from the real robot.

Re: Retrieving a path pose (x,y,phi)

Hi I strongly suggest you you have a look at the first tutorials and spend some time to understand the lua code in them to get the x,y and phi coordinates of your robot you can use: robotP=simGetObjectPosition(robotHandle,-1) robotO=simGetObjectOrientation(robotHandle,-1) x=robotP[1] y=robotP[2] phi...

Re: Recommendations on getting started with VREP/Arduino

The serial monitor of the arduino is not running when you are sending the data to V-REP right? You know that if you do so the port of com would already be used and V-REP could never connect and receive data ....

Re: Reset scene

Hi Pouya, As it was said, not sure that would be useful for many people and that s why we have add ons! Please find here the add on that does just what you wished. Just uncompact the zip file into the root of V-REP (where you can find addOnDemoUi.ttb file) Cheers Eric PS: feel free to modify the add...

Re: Recommendations on started to work with VREP

Hi! Using the remoteAPI with the arduino might be difficult! I would suggest to use instead the serial port to make your arduino code communicate with V-REP like it is done in the arduino esplora model... Where your arduino code is supposed to actuate the motors or read sensors of your real robot yo...

Re: panoramic view

Hi Please have a look at the script attached to components->sensors-> spherical vision sensor The spherical vision sensor is supported via the plugin v_repExtVision, which exports a custom Lua function: simExtVision_handleSpherical (see further down for the documentation of this function). The sourc...

Re: Creating Objects with Remote API

Hi! To catch a string stream in an embedded script: str=simGetStringSignal('myStringSignal') if str~=nil then simClearStringSignal('myStringSignal') -- from here str is the string that is sent from python -- parse it to extract the data to build your object with a regular API function end I hope it ...

Re: exporting scene

Hi!

Have a look in tools->High-resolution screenshot tool. The tool can generate a high definition screenshot and if you look at how it is done in the customization script, you surely can make your own script programmatically print-screen

Cheers
