Re: Connecting a VR Goggles to a Camera in V-Rep

Hello, currently this is only possible by streaming the image of two vision sensors to an external application (or plugin) that conditions them for the Occulus (or similar). But this is overly complicated and not efficient. We plan to renew the rendering engine, and this should then become much easi...

Re: Efficient curved conveyor using angular velocity instead of path

Since Bullet 2.78 and 2.83 both show the same issue, I really believe this must be an adjustable threshold value somewhere in the Bullet engine..

Re: Line Drawing Object not clearing on simulation stop

A drawing object handle is not the same thing as a scene object handle. So you can't use scene object API functions with drawing object handles..

Re: Full screen bug

Hello,

yes, I am aware of that bug. The fullscreen mode is not something very stable, and we are anyway planning to eventually replace the rendering engine... by next year hopefully.

Re: Efficient curved conveyor using angular velocity instead of path

By setting the dynamics step from 5ms to 10ms, you can obtain better results. But this is kind of artificially increasing the engine's internal threshold, does not scale much further, and is not such a good idea. If you have a cylinder rotating with an item on top of it, you also have that kind of s...

Re: How to add disturbance in Joint space or Cartesian Space for Torque/Impedance Control

Make sure the synchronized mode is enabled. Then, start simulation by posting to startSimulation . Then: Publish data that V-REP subscribed to. Make sure that subscribers have a queue of 1. post to triggerNextStep . One simulation step (i.e. by default 50ms of simulation time) will be executed. Wait...

Re: Conversion of Depth Map to 3D point cloud using Kinect

Strange that simxSetVisionSensorImage doesn't work for you. Can you try with following code and the rosInterfaceTopicPublisherAndSubscriber.ttt demo scene? import vrep print 'Program started' vrep.simxFinish(-1) # just in case, close all opened connections clientID=vrep.simxStart('127.0.0.1',19997,T...

Re: Efficient curved conveyor using angular velocity instead of path

Hello, it seems the problem is linked to some kind of threshold in the Bullet engine. I can't figure out where that setting would be (if it really is that). The reason that makes me think it is a threshold of the physics engine, is because all other engines handle the task quite fine (ODE, Vortex an...

Re: Restore components to their original state

What do you mean with damaged? Connections (e.g. via a joint or a force/torque sensor) can temporarily bend if large constraints act on them. But that is only temporary (unless you dynamically reset the model at that time, without resetting the local matrices).
