Re: Control a real NAO robot using remote API functions

Hello, about your questions: 1. it also works the other way round, but the remote API client will always remain the client. So if you want to send something to the remote API client, the remote API client has to make a request, then stream those requested values. Or simply listen to a specific signa...

Re: Boundaries of a road

That was my suggestion by using a map (the map will tell you what region is valid, and what region is invalid). But someone needs to create that map. Once you have the map, your vehicle can check its position relative to that map and try to avoid forbidden regions.

Re: Self-driving car along a path

Hello, you can only act on 2 variables in your car model: the torque/speed, and the position of the steering wheel. So you have to figure out a controller that will try to follow a point on the path you have, by adjusting only those 2 values. If you just keep the vehicle velocity constant at first, ...

Re: Vrep Matlab Synchronous Mode and DTTO Robot

From how I see things, your joints should be in position control mode, and you should only submit the desired position and desired force/torque. This does not have to happen in a synchronous fashion. I would: ⋅  set all joints into force/torque mode, enable the motor, enable the control lo...

Re: How to import texture with model in Ubuntu?

Hello,

and what happens if you import the textures in Windows, save the scene, and open the scene in Linux? I am trying to understand if it is a display or actually an import problem.

Re: import Vrep error

Your problem is not related to whether V-REP is 32 or 64bit. You need to match your Python with the remote API library. So 32-bit python with 32-bit remote API DLL. Or 64-bit python with 64-bit remote API DLL.

Re: Simulate a rotating object (valve) using joint

The quadcopter fell because in order to stay in the air, you need to apply additional forces (e.g. with simAddForceAndTorque or simAddForce).

Re: Robot Arm Constrained Path Following Problem.

Your should carefully read this page , about dynamically enabled joints. In your case, you have situations like: joint --> shape --> joint Which is not allowed for dynamically enabled joints (i.e. you need a dynamically enabled shape in-between). So something like: joint --> shape --> joint Cheers

Re: Open child script when V-REP is not running

Hello Mathias, yes, the best way would be to have your child script contain something like: require('utils') include('/lua/yourScript.lua') From V-REP 3.4.1 onwards, you will also be able to directly write: sim.include('/lua/yourScript.lua') this way, your script content will be stored outside of yo...
