Re: How to synchronize my control with the simulation ?

Hello Nicole, it seems you are using the old ROS plugin for V-REP: that plugin is not flexible, confusing, difficult to extend, and will not be updated in future. We highly recommend to use the new RosInterface instead. When working with the RosInterface, you can use a helper tool located in Models/...

Re: How can I change the angle resolution of the fastHokuyo sensor ?

Hello Nicole, that sensor is a little bit more complicated because it relies on two vision sensors. In order to adjust the scanning angle, replace line 15 of the attached child script with: scanningAngle=90 -- 90 degrees scan angle For the number of points, you need to adjust the vision sensor's fil...

Re: Simxcallscriptfunction

Well, I am sure you can launch a Python script from Matlab, and have both communicate with each other. But this questions is not related to V-REP as far as I can tell.

Re: Ignored spring - Physic engines

Ok you have following problems in your scene: ⋅  the joint that is supposed to act as a spring has no movement range! Solution: set Pos. range to 1 and Pos. min. to -0.5 ⋅  the end-effector rotation makes the two robots try to turn the part into different directions, but not alwa...

Re: How to get stable measurements when using force sensor?

I had a look at your scene, and following happens: the two objects collide with each other slightly (it is a border condition and only some of the engines will register that collision). The solution: simply adjust the local respondable masks of your two bodies, so that they won't react to collision ...

Re: bubbleRob moving weird

Please post a link to a dropBox file (or similar).

If your robot desintegrates, it either has many self-collisions, or it is not build according to this page.

Re: vision sensor as the input for youbot

To create a custom user interface, make sure you read this page and have a look at the demo scene scenes/customUI.ttt . You can scale a path object with simScaleObject (but you can only isometrically scale a path object). You can also recreate a path with following API functions: ⋅  simCre...

Re: Ignored spring - Physic engines

Hello, can you post the scene, this would make things much easier to see what is going on. Next to the differences and specificities of each physics engine, there is another thing that comes on top of that: when designing a gripper, make sure you have only one active joint that does the gripping, ot...

Re: Inverse kinematics of hybrid robot

What happens is following: the first IK group gets successfully solved, but then the second IK group moves the tip of the first IK group: this is because each IK group gets executed sequentially. So you have two options: ⋅  You put all the IK elements into the same IK group, so that all IK...
