Re: V-REP not workin with ROS Kinetic

Hello,

it appears that you are still using the very old ROS plugin. It is highly recommended to switch to the much better ROS Interface.

From the error message, the ROS plugin could not be loaded. Try to recompile it.

Re: Shaking robot model even though no signal sent

Hello,

there can be many causes for this shaking. Most probably your collidable shapes are slightly overlapping (i.e. constantly colliding). Another common reason is that your masses/inertias are not balanced-out or too small. Read more in here (Design considerations 6-8)

Re: prioritize script

Hello,

the scripts are executed in a cascaded way. Same-level (in the hierarchy) scripts can individually be prioritized via the Execution order in here.

In next release, you will have much more flexibility, by also being able to define in which direction a branch is explored/executed.

Re: Change line widht in graph

Hello, unfortunately you can't change the line width via the user interface. The examples that you see are probably graphs where instead of drawing a line, it draws points very close to each other. That's my best guess. So currently, the only way is like you say: adjust the script related to the gra...

Re: parallel joint

Hello,

you first need to identify where the problem comes from: is it linked to the remote API? Or the script function?
Is your script function called? If you call the same function directly from the script, is the behaviour different?

Is it possible that you disconnected from the server?

Re: Quadcopter becomes unstable at scales of <=40%

This depends a lot on the physics engine you use, and its settings/parameters. For instance, with Bullet, you have a parameter internal scaling that can be adjusted in order to overcome some of the limitations.

Re: Motor control with remote API

Hello, if your joints are dynamically enabled, then you can't use sim.setJointPosition . You can only use sim.setJointTargetVelocity (if your joint has the motor enabled but the controller disabled), or sim.setJointTargetPosition (if your joint has the motor enabled and the controller enabled too). ...
