Re: Detecting collision with palm of mico gripper without losing grasp stability

Your cheese is a random mesh, and performs very badly with physics engines. Morph it into a convex shape. Also, try to use a different physics engine to see the differences.

Re: Simulation of Diffusive Process

Hello,

these things are not directly supported. But you could try to emulate this with a data structure and algorithm that describes and animates this process.

Re: Modifying path ctrl points

Please post a simplified scene that illustrates your problem. Is the function really running? Did you check that with a print to the console for instance?

Re: Distorted point cloud

Hello, indeed, there must be an error in your calculations, things are slightly distorted. The two joints and the proximity sensor seem to be correctly aligned/configured. You can slightly modify your code to see the data you want to expect with: local m=simGetObjectMatrix(proxSensor,-1) local resul...

Re: simxCallScriptFunction handle parameter question

Hello Samuel,

How does your function GetObjectName_function look like in your main script?
Make sure to test and modify the code in programming/remoteApiBindings/lib/complexCommandTest.cpp and the scene that goes with it in scenes/remoteApiCommandServerExample.ttt.

Re: Cant call a childscript function from python api without error

Simply return following:

Code: Select all

return {},{},{},''

Make sure you have a look at the example in programming/remoteApiBindings/python/python/complexCommandTest.py and the scene that goes with it in scenes/remoteApiCommandServerExample.ttt

Re: Geometric Constraint Solver problem

Hello,

I highly recommend you to use the IK functionality, since it is much more transparent and powerful.
But in your scene you have the problem that the overlap constraint will try to overlap the dummies position AND orientation, which is not possible in your 2 DoF example.

Re: Designing Robot Model containing Parallel Bar Mechanism

The best would be to look at a robot model in the model library (e.g. Models/robots/non-mobile/KUKA LBR iiwa 14 R820.ttm ). Inspect the model in the scene hierarchy, and also invert the visible layers to see the hidden parts of the robot. Also have a look at this tutorial . Morphing an object into i...

Re: Detecting collision with palm of mico gripper without losing grasp stability

Hello Neha, object MicoHand_visible should just be the visible part, and should not have any influence in a simulation. This is because that shape is not optimized for dynamics (e.g. non-convex meshes, high poly count, etc.). For that reason that shape should stay non-dynamic and non-respondable. On...
