Re: V-REP crashes on ros interface

Ok, it seems this is due to the fact that the recent modifications of the RosIntefrace are not backward compatible. So you can use and compile the RosInterface that comes with V-REP 3.4.0 (in the programming/ros_packages folder), or you can contact us and we can give you a beta of next version. Cheers

Re: Quadcopter

Hello, please ask precise question, and one per topic, otherwise it will be impossible to help you. When you say you cannot make it move. How do you try to make it move? Which model are you using? For waypoints, the best is to define them programmatically, then have a child script try to move from o...

Re: Couple of questions about Drawing APIs

If you need to draw an even more precise sphere, then adjust the last argument of simCreatePureShape, e.g.:

Code: Select all

local h=simCreatePureShape(1,1+4+16,{diameter,diameter,diameter},1,{32,32})

But this will slow-down rendering speed.

Re: Joint dissemble

Hello,

you just posted a picture, so it is difficult to say what is going wrong. I suspect that you have collisions between adjacent links. Try to enabled the checkbox Display contact points in this dialog.

Re: how to get parameterID

Hello,

are you trying to use simCreateProximitySensor?
You cannot modify individual parameters. You will have to create a new proximity sensor on the fly (and auxiliary maybe destroy the old proximity sensor).

Re: how to get the force data?

Hello,

do you want to obtain the force you apply via the haptic device? In that case, use:

Code: Select all

local force=simExtCHAI3D_readForce(deviceIndex)

Re: Tutorial and complete training?

For training, please contact use via the website.
There is no functional difference between the PRO and the PRO EDU version. Just the audience is different: V-REP PRO EDU is just meant for EDU-entities, and non-commercial applications.

Re: Path editing via Child Script

Hello Felix, you have minimal possibilities to edit a path. You would do this via simCreatePath , simInsertPathCtrlPoints and simCutPathCtrlPoints . But from you write it seems you are using the old path planning functionality. We highly recommend you to start using the OMPL-based path planner, sinc...

Re: bubbleRob moving weird

You haven't read the page I previously suggested. If you do not read and understand it, you will never be able to obtain something that works.
