Re: Simulating under actuated mico gripper

It was limited mainly for stability reasons and because most would use it to grip something relatively large. But you are free to adjust the limits to your needs. Control of the gripper might become more difficult however. It always depends on the application.

Re: Saving recording settings

Hello, the best of course would be to fix the cause of the crash... If the crash happens frequently, it should be relatively easy to see where it comes from (what does the memory look like?, what is the output when you print debug infos to the console ([Menu bar --> Help --> Debug --> ...]?) There i...

Re: matlab - simxReadForceSensor error

Did you read the simxReadForceSensor API description? Second argument should be a number.

Re: Can Anyone tell me what is happening Here ? Parts Unstable

Hello,

it seems to me that your masses are either too light, their mass ratio too high, or the same for the inertia. Make sure to carefully read this page, mainly design considerations 7-8.

Re: Externalizing scripts for better version control

Sorry, maybe there was a confusion: the search path that you can modify will only affect require . So following should work: require('testScene_Cuboid_Non_Threaded') as long as the two files are in the same folder (or as long as file testScene_Cuboid_Non_Threaded.lua is in one of the folders listed ...

Hello,

have a look at the remote API if you need to connect Matlab to V-REP.

Re: Kinect Intergration

This is not trivial, since you will need some kind of IK to have the arms follow the skeleton. A simple IK element for each arm would not be sufficient, since you not only want the hands to follow the skeleton extremities, but also the elbows should follow the skeleton elbows .I would use 2 damped I...

Re: needle insertion

Hello, this is a difficult task for several reasons. How I would do it is really overkill, but the only way I see this more or less feasable: ⋅  Use a cuboid as the needle. For the hole, use several cuboids (e.g. min. 3, ideally 8 or more) grouped to form a hole. The hole can also dynamica...

Re: Externalizing scripts for better version control

Sorry, I realized I wasn't very helpful with the c code, which actually translates into something like this in Lua:

Code: Select all

package.path='d:/v_rep/?.lua;' .. package.path
