Robot explodes after changing its position with remoteApi

Hi, I am trying to change the robot initial position with the remoteApi command simxSetObjectPosition . What happens is that the robot exploded into small pieces. Can you please tell me how to do this operation correctly? I want to start the robot at random places in my learning algorithm. Below is ...

Hexapod legs collision

Hi, I'm using the ant-hexapod model in V-REP with an evolutionary optimization algorithm to achieve fast gaits. Some gaits lead to the legs of the hexapod to collide or get over each other, leading to a very rough movement. I want to know allow the legs to 'cut' each other fine without colliding wit...

Converting real world maps to a robot environment

Hello, See this video from web0ts simulator people https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=102IbjXkg2k from the video description: "This video present simulation environments and tool for simulation of vehicles in Web0ts robots simulator. It includes an interface with SUMO (Simulation of Urban MObility) and...

Dynamic changing for the environment without a GUI

Good afternoon, Is it possible that I create/change the environment/robot shape without having to work from the GUI? It's not an urgent need, but we are considering an experiment in 'evolving robot morphology' and 'evolving robots on a random landscapes', and we are surveying for this issue. I appre...

Re: Parallel instances of V-Rep

Sorry, the issue of not having hanging instances is a mistake from my side. I noticed some other things however. I sometimes get this warning message (vrep:1960): IBUS-WARNING **: Unable to connect to ibus: Could not connect: Connection refused and many times, when the simulator is closing, I get Se...

Re: Results from repetitive simulation

Hi,

Many thanks for your reply. I changed the threaded script to a non-threaded script, and the issue has been completely resolved. It seems that the thread was switching during the parameters settings, leading to various answers.

Many thanks for your help.

Cheers

Re: Results from repetitive simulation

Hi, Me and my team used physics engine directly before (ODE), and we didn't experience such issue. The results was perfectly reproducible. I attach a scene for my current experiment. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwut9uD_4aJ-X2VkVXVTQkNSNjQ/view?usp=sharing I switched from bullet physics to ODE a...

Re: Parallel instances of V-Rep

Yes, it gets back to the command line, but the different instance of vrep are still there.
