Models get dismantled when moved during simulation

Hello, I want to move a robot during the simulation to a specific location pointed out by RViz using the "2D Pose Estimate" button, which is usually used to set the robot's initial pose, which is what I want. The problem is that when I do that, the robot gets dismantled. What I observe is that the j...

GUI interface dissapeared in the last release?

Hello, I have noticed that the OpenGl-based UI menu has been removed from the last release. Nevertheless, I can still view OpenGl-based UI forms I made with the previous version in my current scene. Is there any way of modifying/removing an OpenGl-based UI form in the latest release? I understand fr...

Robot suddenly stops

Hello, I have mapped some roads in OpenStreetMap and loaded them into V-REP to drive along them with a car (I have mapped them using lanelets and imported them into V-REP using a plugin. I might be able to share this plugin once I have a final version :D). The problem is that the roads are quite lon...

Re: Incorrect simros_strmcmd_get_vision_sensor_info time stamp

Hello again,

I have just tried what I suggested and everything worked as expected. Restarting V-REP with /use_sim_time set to true should solve it.

Re: RosInterface stops publishing after restart of simulation

Hello,

exactly, that's why there must be something wrong with ROS.

But also, I have observed that with a custom plugin I made that directly publishes to ROS, this delay does not occur. I'll put a pin in this and take a look at the code of both plugins later on to see if I spot any difference.

Re: Incorrect simros_strmcmd_get_vision_sensor_info time stamp

Hi, Ok, now I understood the issue. You are publishing the simulation time to the /clock and you want your nodes to work in simulation time, but simros_strmcmd_get_vision_sensor_info automatically fills the stamp field with the wall time. The function simros_strmcmd_get_vision_sensor_info directly c...

Re: Incorrect simros_strmcmd_get_vision_sensor_info time stamp

Hi, your question is somewhat unclear. I am not sure if you want to use your system time or the simulation time. Nevertheless, this should be all you need to understand to synchronize with ROS. All V-REP scenes I have seen so far fill the time stamp field with simGetSystemTime() . This should be con...

Fixed object handle in duplicated child scripts

Hi, I am creating a sensor model that reads the handle of another object (a robot). I want all copies of my sensor to retrieve the same robot's handle. I do not know if it is the normal behaviour or if it is a bug, but if I create copies (with the "#Number" suffix) every sensor tries to get the robo...
