Re: Retrieve scene objects of a defined area

Yes, I am doing more or less the same.
It is just that I have a lot of objects and I was trying to find an optimal way of getting those that are of interest by minimizing the "for loop".
Thank you very much for the answer,

Retrieve scene objects of a defined area

Hello, I have a big scene where I have placed a lot of cuboid scene objects and in each simulation step I want to get the position and orientation of all objects inside a specific area of interest which changes constantly as the robot moves. I don't want to iterate through all objects, get their pos...

Re: Unset object property

Yes, that seems like the right way!
Thanks for the answer!

Re: Unset object property

Update:
I think I found it.

I just use the command simSetObjectSpecialProperty(objectHandle,0) and it works. Whatever property I set before now is unset. However I am not sure if it is a right way to do stuff.

Unset object property

Hello, I have created a scene in vrep but I want programmatically to set and unset the scene objects' properties. Specifically, I want to set the object property to be detectable by laser scanner, so I use the "simSetObjectSpecialProperty" command alongside the "sim_objectspecialproperty_detectable_...

Re: Robot movement and linear velocity

Hi!
It seems the problem is solved or it never existed. It was just a matter of understanding the physics.
Thanks for the reply.

Robot movement and linear velocity

Hello! I am running some simulations on VREP and I have one question regarding the movement of my robot. I am using the Pioneer-P3dx robot. The robot subscribes to the /cmd_vel topic. I am using the teleop_twist_keyboard in order to publish messages to that topic and then the robot moves according t...

Re: V-Rep should publish to the /clock topic

Well, I have the base_scan, base_link and odom frames broadcasted by vrep. Then the slam_gmapping node broadcasts the map frame. However, while the tree is well connected, the frame stamps on the frames broadcasted by vrep are having simulation time values and the map frame has ros time values. Thus...

Re: V-Rep should publish to the /clock topic

Hello, I am using gmapping with vrep and it seems there should be a problem with the clock, so I want to make slam_gmapping node to subscribe to the clock topic. How can I do that?

VREP, laser scan, Rviz problem

Hello all, I am new to V-REP and ROS and it seems I face some problems. I have the following script for a Hokuyo laser scanner: -- This is a ROS enabled Hokuyo_04LX_UG01 model (although it can be used as a generic -- ROS enabled laser scanner), based on the existing Hokuyo model. It performs instant...
