Re: Generate shape from a path via script (Path Shaping parameters with code)

The vertices array contains x,y,z coordinates of vertices sequentially. The indices array contains 0-based indices of points, which taken 3 by 3, defines triangles. Simple example: to create a quad you would define vertices {x1,y1,z1,x2,y2,z2,x3,y3,z3,x4,y4,z4} and indices {0,1,2,0,2,3}. To create a...

Re: Controlling uarm in VREP using motion planning from MOVEIT!

You need to implement in V-REP a controller to execute the joint trajectory given by MoveIt.

Re: Controlling uarm in VREP using motion planning from MOVEIT!

Probably the joints have different offsets in the V-REP model and in the URDF or SDF model you use in MoveIt!. Set both to the {0,0,0,0,0,0,0} configuration (or some other arbitrary joint configuration) and make sure they match before proceeding with anything else. You can adjust the offset of a rev...

Re: Controlling uarm in VREP using motion planning from MOVEIT!

In vrep, i was able to create a subscriber to receive the message sent from MoveIt python node. I'm subscribing to /joint_states sent from moveit node and The message type i'm using is 'sensor_msgs/JointState'. And, this way i was able to see each joint position and velocity .... However i want to ...

Re: Learning joint dynamics

I think in this task you want to control the entire kinematic chain (i.e. the joints motors) as a whole, to perform tasks such as inverse kinematics/dynamics, gravity compensation, and so on. This is not a use case for messing with the joint callback. The default joint callback will do just fine. Yo...

Re: Generate shape from a path via script (Path Shaping parameters with code)

Hi, You can create any (mesh) shape you want in Lua with sim.createMeshShape . With a bit of 3D geometry and trigonometric functions, you can certainly create a mesh for a wire of arbitrary radius. Beware that this mesh will be non-convex, thus it will slow down your simulation if you want it to be ...

Re: QMutex : destroying locked mutex

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/nouveau_dri.so is related to your graphics drivers.

Can you try reproduce the problem using alternative graphics drivers?

Re: Mixed controller, C and lua

Storing the robot state in static variable is a simple way to solve the problem, however it is limited to having just ONE instance of such variables. If you want to be more flexible than that, manage the lifetime of your state variables manually, in a object-oriented fashion, e.g. define: a command ...

Re: Method to MATLAB workspace data

Joint callbacks are called more often than child scripts. You'd be better off with Lua script.
