Re: Remote API calls getting slower and slower

I tried to just restart the simulation instead of removing and reloading my robot model, this made the problem disappear. Restarting the simulation is slower than reloading the model and I would like to use the fastest option. So I still wonder why this problem occur, do I reload the model in the wr...

Remote API calls getting slower and slower

Hi, I have a problem that my python remote API calls are getting slower and slower whenever I run a simulation. I run in synchronous mode. For get handles calls I'm doing like this: errorCode, handle = vrep.simxGetObjectHandle(self.clientID, string, vrep.simx_opmode_blocking) For get variable calls ...

Re: Collision object being removed

The objects are still visible in the scene hierarchy. But I figured out the problem. I'm doing reinforcement learning and each iteration I reload my robot model. I guess there's no way of having a collision object checking a model that's being reloaded several times during the simulation?

Collision object being removed

Hi,
I'm trying to do collision detection in V-rep. I'm creating a new collision object but when I start the simulation with the remote API the collision object is removed. This behavior does not occur when starting the simulation from the V-rep GUI. Any Idea on what could be the problem?

Orientation around robot's z-axis

Hi, I have a hexapod robot in V-rep and having troubles getting the right orientation of the robot. I can read the angle around the z-axis (reference frame world). The problem is that If I rotate the robot around the y-axis the angle around the z-axis will change as well. Why is this happening? What...

Re: Python remote API calls gets slower and slower

Using simx_opmode_oneshot instead solved the problem, thanks!

Re: Can't run V-rep in headless mode from cmd

Yes it works when not in headless mode. But I tried to run the command from the installation folder and now it worked, thanks. Can I do something to be able to run the command from outside of the folder?

Can't run V-rep in headless mode from cmd

On windows 10 on the command line. If i type: vrep.exe -h then i get the following printed out and V-rep crashes. Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. C:\Users\blabla>vrep.exe -h C:\Users\blabla\Using the default Lua library. Add-on scri...

Re: Python remote API calls gets slower and slower

In my main script I'm using the remote API to set the servo and then do simulation steps in synchronous mode. Like this: while True: pos = robot.get_servo_pos(1) # Some calculations... robot.set_servo_position(1, 0.5) robot.step_simulator_nonblocking() if robot_failed: robot.reset_robot() The set_se...

Shaking robot model even though no signal sent

Hi!

I have a model of a hexapod robot similar in structure to the one in the tutorial section and the example model browser. If start the simulation with no script running, the robot will be shaking causing it to drift along the x-axis. What can cause this problem?
