Receiving data from V-REP in MATLAB

Hi, I'm trying to get the values from a table in vrep and send them to matlab, but the signal doesnt receive any information, and the table always ends up blank. Perhaps i'm misunderstanding how the signals between matlab and vrep work. My code for V-REP is simRemoteApi.start(19999) myTable = {1,2,3...

Re: Inverse Kinematics of Parallel cable robot

The joints/shapes you have in the scene will fall to the ground because they are not attached to the parent object in any way. Even though they are children, this does not attach them. You should try using force sensors on each corner to attach the joints and shapes to the cuboid object. Check out t...

Re: Force sensor not dynamically enabled

If you want to have the force sensors dynamically enabled, the Child must be dynamic, not the parent. Make the 5 children all dynamic, and the force sensors should become enabled as well. You can tell if something is dynamically enabled by the ball bouncing icon next to them. See http://www.coppelia...

Matlab getObjectGroupData

Hi, I'm using the getObjectGroupData function through Matlab to get all the joints in the scene. This is working fine, but I noticed that the joints are shown in the order in which they were placed in the scene, rather than the order that they show up in the sidebar. Eg. a Jaco robot shows up before...

Automatic Camera Movement

Hi, Simple question, I am creating a video of my simulation, and I would like the camera to pan around the robot while it operates. I know that this can be controlled by the mouse, but I have an unsteady hand, so the camera movement is jittery when done by hand. Is there any way I can program a came...

Matlab/VREP OMPL

Hi,

I am wondering if its possible to code motion planning for a robot in V-REP through matlab using the OMPL library. Are there any files i have to copy over or snippets of code I have to include?

Thanks in advance

Re: Object Lagging behind parent during simulation

Hi,

Turns out i had a static cylinder attached to the dynamic gripper - exactly what you said. When i removed the cylinder it worked perfectly. Thanks for the help!

Object Lagging behind parent during simulation

Hi, I'm trying to simulate a robotic arm with a barretthand attached to the end, but during simulation the hand trails behind the arm during quick movements. Is there any way i can fix this besides slowing the speed that the arm moves? I've attached a GIF of what the problem is. https://gyazo.com/ea...
