Re: underwater robot simulation

Hi If you open and close the file at each simulation step you ll get only the last value in the file after you are done with the simulation. Maybe you should try this, in a non-threaded script if (sim_call_type==sim_childscriptcall_initialization) then name = "IOfile.txt" file = io.open(name, "w") e...

Re: Lua runtime Error

hi

could you verify the value of quadrotor2Handle? with a print("quadrotor2Handle:",quadrotor2Handle) after line 92 of one of the scripts... I m pretty sure it will be nil meaning that the object quadrotor_2 does not exists.

Re: Lua runtime Error

Hi

well, you are apparently misusing the simGetObjectPosition function... my best guess is that the handle of the object you are trying to change the position is not proper... but without the code it s difficult to help you!

Cheers

Re: Make a revolute joint behave like a spring

hi... You don t really need to be a V-REP expert to do the drag and drop of objects and models, all the models of this scene are in the "model browser" on the left side of the window. Please just check it out! To place them on the scene, if drag and drop is not precise enough you should spend a litt...

Re: Path Planning without using calculation modules

Hi The map you get from the simulation using point 1 of coppelia s answer is the one that will create the image of the map in your code... now if you want to create a map in v-rep according to the one you generate in your code it s gonna be a bit more complex to implement ( not that much though) for...

Re: Path Planning without using calculation modules

Hi " assign some weights to each cell depending on the obstacles and your robot's location" means having a (m,n) table in your algorithm, having a weighting value in it for each cells, where m and n are the number of cells in x and y respectively. Not sure what you want to achieve but usually you wa...

Re: Quince rescue robot's semi-autonomous control

Hi,

The tracks are simulated in the same manner as the caterpillar model. Also, there are no plan to include Quince in the library.

Re: Hierarchy and script

hi

as for any object, to make it invisible:
double click on the object in the scene hierarchy->select tab "common"-> deselect the visibility layer or select a visibility layer that is not currently displayed when you click the button "layers"
cheers
