Forgive me for the stupid question, but could this warning have something to do with my LuaCommander plugin behaving as such?

Re: Any pointers about gcode.ttt?

The string "2.5" doesn't seem to give a problem here: $ lua Lua 5.1.5 Copyright (C) 1994-2012 Lua.org, PUC-Rio > x=tonumber('2.5') > print(x) 2.5 > print(type(x)) number Tested also in the V-REP's Lua interpreter (LuaCommander plugin): Simulator launched, welcome! > x=tonumber('2.5') > x 2.5 > type(...

I'm running 3.6.2, could you share how to recompile the plugin? Thanks.
(requires Qt)

Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/CoppeliaRobotics/v_repExtUrdf
cd v_repExtUrdf
qmake
make
then copy the libv_repExtUrdf library to the same location where the vrep binary is

Re: V-REP + ROS 2

ROS2 is still lacking several features that are available in ROS1. About ROS bridge: ROS1 and ROS2 could be in theory on the same machine, but that configuration gave me build issues. Probably you can have ROS1 core on a different machine. What configuration works best it really depends upon your ne...

Re: V-REP + ROS 2

A ROS2 port of the RosInterface plugin is in the works, and will probably released in the second half of November.

Or you can manually fix your model by doing the following for every odd-looking shape:
  • ungroup it
  • remove the respondable (simplified) mesh that was part of the group
  • (optional) adjust the name of the other mesh

Re: Any pointers about gcode.ttt?

It uses gcode.lua, a Gcode interpreter written for V-REP, which by default produces a path as the result of the execution of the program (you can then use V-REP facilities such as path following, trajectory tracking, inverse kinematics, ... to make the tool move along the path). But the Gcode interp...
