Vision sensors vs Cameras

Hi,

I was wondering what is the difference between vision sensors and cameras that makes it so that multiple cameras do not slow down a simulation whilst multiple vision sensors do? Thanks

Full screen bug

Hi, I think running a simulation in full screen is bugged. After exiting the simulation from full screen using the 'Esc' button, the scene hierarchy window becomes misaligned (cutoff) and makes it difficult to select the scene object required. Current solution: Anything that forces Vrep to redraw sc...

Re: Writing to file using simPackFloatTable

Thanks. It seems I didn't understand the abstraction of packing data. My intention was to convert all joint values to a single string using simPackFloatTable to make it easier to write the values to a file. I didn't realise the data representation is changed completely.

Re: export graph to csv

I was looking for a similar solution. Maybe in the future it would be nice to have access to the graph data via API so that the user can easily save the data they need since most of the work of collecting the data is already done to generate the graph.

Cheers

Writing to file using simPackFloatTable

Hi, I'm trying to record joint values of my robot to a file. I've been following the joint recorder method and attempting to convert the recorded data table to a string using simPackFloatTable but it doesn't seem to work. The method returns webdingy symbols as output in the test output file. My test...

Augmented reality

Hi Are there any plans to add augemented reality functionality (e.g. ARToolkit) to V-rep? It would be nice to be able to have pop-up displays and overlays for displaying robot trajectories in the scene. I'm currently looking to utilise a transparent GUI window for notifications during simulation. I'...

Re: Collision detection between respondable objects

Your response gave me an idea and I think I may have found the actual reason for this issue. The dynamically enabled invisible shapes of the arm are slightly larger than the visible shapes used for collision detection. So in the dynamic engine, the 2 objects have already touched but this is not visi...

Re: Collision detection between respondable objects

Seems I edited too late. I've uploaded a minimal example with an arm and cube here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nui2erwr4e9sgrl/collision_problem.ttt?dl=0. You can control the arm using the manipulation_sphere during simulation. If you collide with the cube using the green tip of the arm, the collisio...

Re: Collision detection between respondable objects

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm in fact talking about the collision detection without physics. Both my objects are collidable and I have registered the collision object. The reason I mentioned the respondable flag is because switching that on/off is leads to the collision being registered or not. W...

Collision detection between respondable objects

Hi, I'm trying to use the collision detection module to detect collisions between 2 objects that are respondable. Object_1 is dynamic and respondable while Object_2 is static and respondable. Dynamic module is also enabled. The collision detection does not seem to work as no collision is registered ...
