Re: Huge memory leak issue

Yes, if you want to use the Reflexxes library in a non-blocking manner, you should use following functions instead: simRMLPos">http://www.coppeliarobotics.com/helpFiles/en/regularApi/simRMLPos.htm]simRMLPos[/u...

Re: Huge memory leak issue

Thanks for your help with the workaround. I have implemented it and it seems to be working.

I also wanted to know if there was a way to use the reflexxes library in a non-blocking manner. Currently the simRMLMoveToPosition blocks and this is not suitable for teleoperation purposes.

Cheers

Re: Huge memory leak issue

I have posted it on Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i8jk50gvczl9zzf/baxter.ttt?dl=0 I've tested it on Windows and it is the same as well. It doesn't happen with the built-in demos ( reflexxesMotionLibraryType4Demo.ttt ). But I can't see what is different on my version. I've tried to keep it the s...

Huge memory leak issue

Hi, I'm getting a huge memory leak problem with the simRMLMoveToPosition method in my threaded script. I've narrowed it down to this method by using commenting and checking memory usage in system monitor. The memory usage increases by ~50Mb every 2 secs when the simulation is run and does not decrea...

Re: Baxter gripper and IK

I have fixed the issue. The problem was that the Baxter_tip dummy wasn't directly under the Baxter gripper on the top level in the tree structure. Why would this cause a problem? Another thing I'd like to understand is the relationship between simIKGroupHandle and simRMLMoveToPosition. Does simRMLMo...

Re: Threaded scripts and ROS

Yes, you can use a threaded and non-threaded child script in a similar way. The way the current ROS interface works is somewhat semi-automatic: publishers will be automatically triggered in each simulation step, with appropriate data filled-in. The same happens with subscribers. This allows to enab...

Threaded scripts and ROS

Is it possible to use ROS subscribers/publishers in the initialisation stage of a threaded script? I currently have a subscriber set up and I can see from the rostopic info topic_name command that Vrep is subscribed to the topic but not acting on the input. Although it works on a non-threaded script...

Baxter gripper and IK

Hi, I have a Baxter running with joints in IK mode. I'm trying to attach the gripper on to the Baxter robot but the finger parts of the gripper keep detaching during simulation. The gripper base and central joint remain attached. I've assembled the gripper with the connection point on the arm. Any i...

Re: Matching Baxter origin in V-rep to Gazebo and Rviz

Thanks for confirming.

So is it possible to load a Baxter model from a URDF file in V-rep in a similar way to Gazebo?

Thanks

Matching Baxter origin in V-rep to Gazebo and Rviz

Hi, I can't seem to match the origin position of the Baxter robot in Vrep to that of the origin used by Gazebo and RViz for ROS. The result being that positions obtainable in one are n't in the other. Is there a way to sync their origin positions. Does Vrep use a different origin? Or is this because...
