Getting Baxter joints over ROS

Hi, I'm trying to use the V-rep IK for Baxter to control a real Baxter robot. I'm trying to use the /vrep/simRosGetObjectGroupData service to get the robot joint handles into my python script. To my understanding, this should be returning all the joint handles in the scene. However, it only returns ...

Re: Embedding V-REP in Visual Studio Forms

coppelia wrote: You can already (without modifying the source code of V-REP) have V-REP run without toolbars, status bar and menu bar. [/i].
How to do this?

Thanks

Re: Embedding V-REP in Visual Studio Forms

Would you be able to give any guidance on what kind of changes would need to be made to the client application to achieve this? Thanks

Re: How to add IK to KUKA LBR

For each joint, try checking the hybrid operation option. This fixes the problem for me. I'm not exactly clear on why this is though.

Re: Embedding V-REP in Visual Studio Forms

I'm also interested in this. I currently have my simulation running using the remote API but I want to embed the whole visual scene/ simulation in my VS application so that I do not have to switch between my application and V-rep when running a simulation. I think that is what neshom is after as wel...

Camera rotation

I'm trying to replicate the camera rotation of vrep using the mouse through code but I'm not having much luck. I want to be able to rotate a camera around a point in multiple axis. So far I've been trying to get the camera to rotate around one axis but it just flies away. Here's my code: p=simGetObj...

Re: Previous versions

Thanks for your tips. I was able to fix it by using the latest remote API and then rebuilding my whole project. Something needed to be updated it seems.

Previous versions

Hi, Is it possible to download v-rep 3.1.1 version again? I've recently upgraded to the latest version and I'm running into difficulties. Specifically, the simxLoadScene method has stopped working and returns error code 3 everytime. It loads the scene but it doesn't receive a reply from the server-s...

Re: Cameras and views

The camera movement would be controlled through the program based on the movements of the robot so that it always at the same point relative to the robot much like any controlled character is in any 3rd person game. The camera will always be looking at the robot. The tracked object property looks li...

Cameras and views

Hi,

I'm looking to implement an "over-the-shoulder" type of camera whose coordinate frame can be used as a reference frame for user input used to control a robot. The camera would be stationary relative to the robot but would be able to freely rotate. I'd appreciate any assistance with this.

Thanks
