How do I get/compute the correct moments of inertia for an arbitrary shape (e.g. an imported convex mesh)?
Maybe this would be nice as a feature to be able to compute this?

Re: Friction coefficient
Ah, ok. Thanks.
I hope you can finish adding that 3rd engine soon!

Friction coefficient
I know this is really part of the physics library, but I'm interested in some advice on the friction coefficient. I have calculated the friction coefficient by measuring the Force for sliding a part across a surface, and divide it with the normal Force on that part. However, I notice I do not get ac...

Re: Spring force
But how would I match the parameters in V-REP to the specifications of an existing spring?
So what is the influence of the parameters (force, and the PID parameters) on the final force (which is based on the parameters plus the positional error)?

Re: Dynamic properties back to default after update
What I'm noticing now is that if I load my scene (saved from version 3.02) in 3.01, that my eggs (produced by a partsProducer principle from blob detection pick and place example) are non convex and they are convex in 3.02 (because they are morphed into convex shapes).

Re: Dynamic properties back to default after update
Hello, It would be nice if things like these would be announced in the release notes :S This did not solve the problem I previously mentioned. I'm still not pleased with the results of the simulation in comparison to before. Not only on the rollers, but also other points are less realistic than they...

Spring force
Hi,
To model a spring it is advised to use the torque/force (on page joint description).
Could you elaborate more how exactly this models a spring with a certain force? Also in combination with the PID control, because the spring damper example also uses a PID control...

Dynamic properties back to default after update
After updating my scene from 3.01 to 3.02, almost all my dynamic properties were back to default. So I lost my friction, custom collision margin, etc. They were all back to default. It took me quite some time to figure out that this happened..

Re: Hanging on stopping of simulation
I have send an e-mail with the possibility to download my scene and two example videos.
The hanging did not occur yet today, so that is good, but I don't know what was the cause of it..
The shapes are convex, they were already morphed into convex shapes..

Re: Hanging on stopping of simulation
Did you also change something for the dynamics of convex shapes? Because my simulation is less realistic than it used to be.
Before it was stable, and now I have jumpy/wobbly situations..
Please let me know if I can revert back to the old version, because this is not good!
