at the very left hand side of the horizontal toolbar, there is a handle. Grab it and drag it somewhere else.

Nothing changes :(
I think that if there's no a mayor improvement in 3.1.3, I'll work on 3.0.5 as it seems to work fine.

Hello again!!
I've just try using the very new V-REP version 3.2.0 (rev. 4), but as you can see my problem persists. I have checked my graphic card drivers and I've updated them. I would appreciate your help because I'm at a loss here...
Regards,
Elez

Elez,
the only thing you can do is related to your graphic card or OS. This means, either:
- update to the newest driver, or try a different (e.g. older) driver
- try to turn one of the two graphic chips on/off, if you have two.
- try to change settings of your graphic chip/driver. E.g. disable hardware acceleration, etc.
- install all service packs/updates that are available for your platform.
Cheers

First of all thanks for all your help,
But unfortunately I've tried all what you recommend and nothing works. I have drivers updated, I only have one graphic card, I have hardware aceleration disabled and I have checked windows update.
As version 3.0.5 seems to render fine, I would have to use that version. In order to that I would like to get the user manual. Where can I find the 3.0.5 User Manual? If I take a look here
http://www.coppeliarobotics.com/resources.html I only find the manual for the last version.
Thanks a lot,
Elez

Elez,
have you tried to remove the toolbars? How does the window look then?

Is the black area in that case only at the top, or also on the left hand side?
Does it make a difference (e.g. the black area gets smaller?) if you disable the status bar at the bottom? (you can disable it in the file system/usrset, by setting statusbarInitiallyVisible to false).
Cheers

Here's how it looks if I move both toolbars (the black area is also on the left hand side):
And here's how it looks when I set to false statusbarInitiallyVisible on the usrset:
