i was surprised to see "Models/components/actuators" completely empty, it was the first place i looked when i started to build something.

is this correct? im running the PRO EDU version on 64bit linux.

yes, this is correct, that category is still empty. Generic actuators are available via the toolbar menu [menu bar --> Add --> Joint].
But we plan to add several servo models in future. If you have any request, or even better, if you can provide us with the CAD data, specifications, etc., we'll prepare a few.

It would also be good to add some configurable basic components like springs, pulleys and gears!
