Running Windows Vista on a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop w/ Intel Graphics.
At first glance, V-Rep seems to start correctly. Console appears, main window appears, but the default scene never appears and the vrep.exe process just starts to consume 100% of the CPU. Windows says "...Not Responding".
So far I tried:
* removing all the plugins
* launching explicitly w/ Admin rights (but account is an admin account...)
* telling Windows to use "Compatibility Mode"
* enabling always-on console via usrset.txt - not suspicious erros.
Any suggestions?
V-REP hangs right after startup on Windows Vista 32-bit
Re: V-REP hangs right after startup on Windows Vista 32-bit
Hello,
can you try to modify the graphic chip settings (e.g. no harware acceleration), and maybe also the openGl settings of V-REP (for that refer to the file system/usrset.txt). You could also try to update the graphics drivers.
Finally, you can, in the same file, enable debugging flags: some debugging information will be print to the console or to a file. Just remember to unset those flags afterwards, since debugging drastically slows down V-REP.
Cheers
