Resizing walls

Post by Stefan89 »

Hello,

I am new to V-Rep and I have no experience with 3D modelling.

I am trying to build walls around my scene.

I would like to have something like this:

Currently I have this:

The problem is, when I place a robot like the e-puck on the scene, it looks like this:

I could not find anything about it in the documentation.

Can you please help me and tell me how I can resize the height and width of a wall? :)

Thank you,

Stefan

Hello Stephan,

You can resize isometrically any object/model in this dialog (refer to the scaling button).

You can also non-isometrically scale most shapes in this dialog. Some shapes will have to be ungrouped first (then you can regroup them later). You can group/ungroup shapes by selecting them, then [menu bar --> Edit --> Grouping/Merging --> ...].

Finally, and this is probably the easiest for you, you can directly add rectangles to the scene with the primitive shape dialog.

We hope in a future version to also offer non-isometric scaling for whole models. But this is a tricky task ;)

Cheers

Hello!

Great - I've got it :)

I used, as you recommended, simple shapes :)

Thanks a lot :)

Stefan
