Can you share your scene? IT is impossible to tell what is going on from your description.

Here is the Simulation:

It should be a straight lines with joints and cylinders.

Hum, hard to see what is going on. Sharing the scene file is better.

Hello,

Anyways i had to make a new prototype, so done with that. I have one query. Please look at the simulation below and let me know how to fix the tip(the one above, so the tendril should be hanging)(just the tip, rest objects should be dynamically influenced and moving)?

https://plus.google.com/116958619585772 ... 5772682031

Also, could you help me with a way so that i can deal with contraction of the tendril? In our real tendril robot, the joints come closer to each other if we want to, to achieve contraction.

Thanks,
Dixit

Again, we cannot tell much from a screenshot. Please post your scene.

The first thing: if you want to use IK to manipulate the chain, then you need to make sure the various elements are not dynamically enabled. The shapes should be static and non-respondable, and the joints should be in IK mode. The best is to first try the tutorial on IK.

Hello,

I am facing problems in receiving data from arduino to vrep using serial communication. I can send data, but have problems receiving.I want to receive below simple data from arduino and display it on the button label 25.

Problems:

1. i dont receive data into vrep.
2. if i set the label 25 to value "100",it doesnt retain or take it. It blinks once with value 100 when i press stopsimulation.
(i saw the arduino esplora model, helped with the code, but dint solve these issues)

Try first to read just any data from the Arduino. Once you can read any type of data, then you can focus on more specific type of data, or data that ends with a specific string.

That is what the code is. I am just trying to read one line from arduino and failing. Could you please help?
Could you please also comment on my 2nd issue with updating labels?

Thanks,
Dixit
