Depth camera reading empty

Hello,

I am using the kinect in my simulation for generating a pointcloud2 from the kinect information. I was using viewtopic.php?t=5662 as a reference.
However,
r,t1,u1=sim.readVisionSensor(depthCam)
returns empty values for u1,t1 and r1. The settings in the vision sensor are default, I disabled all the filters.
I am trying to read the values in a child script on the camera, could you help me figure out where I am going wrong?

Hello,

normally you would use sim.readVisionSensor to get the data from filters applied to your vision sensor. But I guess you are probably more interested in reading the vision sensor with one of following:
