My Robot doesn´t interact with the floor.
My Robot doesn´t interact with the floor.
Hi! I made a Robot using SolidWorks and I export to V-Rep (URDF file), my problem is that the robot doesn´t interact with the floor, i mean, the joints seem work and the wheels spin but the robot doesn´t move forward. Can you help me? Thanks for the video, I appreciate!.
P.S.: I can share my scene if you want (sent me a email.)

Hello,
my guess is that your shapes are not dynamics and probably also not respondable. Read more about this here.
Cheers

Hello!
Thanks for answer me. My shapes are dynamics and respondable, i import from SolidWorks with URDF file, the diferents joints spin also the wheels but the robot doesnt move forward.

Re: My Robot doesn´t interact with the floor.
For example share a link to your dropbox file. Or google drive, etc.

Re: My Robot doesn´t interact with the floor.
You have way too many triangles in your model. All those holes and details are not needed and will only slow down visualization, and simulation in general.
Then, your robot is duplicate it seems (several identical objects overlapping).
Finally, your robot is interacting with the floor (try lifting it above the floor and letting it fall).
Best is to start from scratch with such complex robots, and really go (and test) step-by-step.

Re: My Robot doesn´t interact with the floor.
The robot is a import from SolidWorks (URDF file), the duplicated objects just appeared , should i remove them? which one?. I thought they were useful (visual and respondable).Have you gotten the robot to move around the floor? i mean, the robot can move forward and spin?
