I command the robot to a straight line. Even though it goes straight I graph the angular velocity, which is generally zero and it makes some spikes. I observed this happens when the robot wheels cross the lines of the floor (they act as gaps and they add disturbances to the model). I want to find a smooth floor but all of them seem to have disturbances problems.

In case you haven't tried this yet, you could maybe use a Plane?
You will find it in add->primitive shape->Plane
