I would like to use a model of a nodding LIDAR. Can somebody share the model if they had done this before? Otherwise, how can I go about doing this. Any inputs / tutorials on this would be very helpful.
Thanks!
Model of a Nodding LIDAR
Re: Model of a Nodding LIDAR
Hello,
for a nodding LIDAR, simply add an additional joint to your LIDAR. You will however have to correctly control that joint, so that it moves exactly as you want it to move.

Re: Model of a Nodding LIDAR
Does it ensure that the axis of rotation of the motor is aligned with the origin of the lidar beam? I am trying to analyse how these offsets affect the resulting point cloud.
Re: Model of a Nodding LIDAR
Yes, you can do anything. You will have to handle the control of that nodding joint yourself tough, via code.
