Hi Coppelia
I imported a stl file to simulate the main body of a robot as it is more complex. The problem is that the physics do not work well compared to the model that is purely made in vrep so I would like to know what I should be careful to change and have good results.I already used the meshlab software to compute inertia values and centre of mass, but the model when is attached to other parts, it starts to react at an unstable way even when it is not moving. I checked the local responsible mask and I made the changes according to the tutorials.
PS: only the main body is imported as mesh the wheels and everything else is from vrep
import stl file physics
Re: import stl file physics
Hello,
make sure to carefully read this page, mainly design considerations 1-10. Then also have a look at this tutorial. In V-REP, you can extract the convex hull of a shape, or get its convex decomposition ([menu bar--> Add --> ...])
Cheers
