CB tick in "Joint Dynamics Properties"

Post by martin »

Hello Coppelia,

While trying to change some properties of a joint from an old Coppelia model in a new version of Coppelia, that is, changing a joint property of a scene from Coppelia 4.0.0 in Coppelia 4.4.0, I found a "mysterious" tick which I curious about what it does. Because, once I untick it, it disappears and it no longer appears anymore.

I attach an image about what I am referring to

Hello,

that checkbox is for backcompatibility purposes. CB stands for CallBack. In the past, even if a joint was in e.g. position control mode, a callback could be used to further modify the behaviour of that joint. Starting with CoppeliaSim V4.4, the joint needs to explicitely be in custom control mode, in order for joint callbacks to be called.

Cheers
