Hi,
It is probably a good idea to answer this in the forum as this question gets asked a lot.
The newest version of V-Rep is being shipped with the Vortex simulation engine and a trial license allowing 20 seconds of simulation with Vortex.
This 20 seconds lets you verify the Vortex engine accuracy and stability. An additional license is required to unlock Vortex completely.
The latest V-Rep release also contain a new constraint type allowing to create mechanisms with gears. See the gearMechanism scene example.
This feature only exists with the Vortex engine.
The Vortex for V-Rep plugin is developed and commercialized by Simwat Simulations.
