Vrep crashing with "Error: signal 11, libv_rep.so" after running for a few minutes on 16.04

Hi,
Vrep 3.5.0 was running perfectly fine on ubuntu 16.04 till some time back. Since the last few days it is crashing and giving the following error after running for a few minutes:

Hello,

did you maybe update a driver (e.g. graphics driver?)
Does it still crash if you uncheck Display world reference in the user settings?

Sorry for the late reply.
I did not update the drivers.
Yes I get the same error and crash after I uncheck the Display world reference in the user settings.

Is there any other settings I can try changing ?
