Re: question about model parts' size/position changing

Please adjust the mass and/or inertia of your dynamically enabled wheels (not the visual wheels). This behaviour is directly related to the design considerations for dynamic models, point 7-8.

Re: Gripper Control and General Control Question

The way that model is handling gripping is different than what happens in reality, since physics engines are not capable of replicating the same behaviour without too many flaws. So have a look at the gripper when inversing the visibility layers , and you'll see how it really operates. If you want t...

Re: Coppeliasim Crash

Hello, why do you stop/restart the simulation from a plugin ? This is something very specific, and you are probably much better off doing that task inside of an add-on , or best, inside of a customization script . See here for an example. You can however suppress those messages by setting doNotShowC...

Re: Plugin crashes

Hello, we didn't develop that plugin, and cannot give you direct support for this. Try to contact the authors of the plugin. If you can recompile the plugin and run in debug mode, that would be best. Otherwise try to add some outputs in the locations where you suspect the crash to happen and try to ...

Re: V-REP on Ubuntu runs 2x slower than on Mac or Windows

Hello,

can you confirm that CoppeliaSim runs at a normal speed, when not connected to your Python legacy remote API client?
Are you running your remote APi client in synchronous mode?

Re: Gripper Control and General Control Question

Hello, this really depends on the type of gripper. The Robotiq-85 gripper is fairly complex. To get an idea how to control those grippers, have a look at the usually child scripts attached to them. Normally the functionality is linked to a custom UI , which allows to manually open/close or otherwise...

Re: Replace Robotiq-85 Gripper FingerTips

Hello, this is not such an easy task. Mainly also, because that gripper is quite complex. You can isometrically scale the whole gripper. In CoppeliaSim V4.2.0, use the isometric scaling add-on . You might have to adjust manually a few values after that (e.g. joint forces/torques). If you just want t...

Re: question about model parts' size/position changing

Hello, my best guess is that you are only changing the visible part of the wheel (oftentimes, a simplified and hidden shape is used for the dynamic aspect). Make sur you inspect the scene hierarchy. If this is the case, make sure to also modify the hidden shape. You can quickly inspect hidden layers...

Re: About Newton Dynamics plugin

Hello,

can you post a minimalistic, self-contained scene that illustrates this problem? What platform and what version of CoppeliaSim are you using?
