Re: SteamVR to CoppeliaSim to ROS

Hi,

If somebody wants to run the VR interface on windows and coppeliaSim on Linux. This is perfectly possible. We found the issue (https://github.com/BorisBogaerts/Coppel ... x/issues/2). You just have te use a NAS if you want textures.

Kind regards,
Boris

My PhD (defense in VR) in VR

I recently finished my Ph.D. To do this I had the crazy idea to do my entire defense in VR. Somehow this worked out, and the result can be experienced in the video below (watch it at the highest resolution possible, preferably in VR): A7E7H54v9ec Nearly all the animations in the videos were created ...

Re: Tutorial: Render V-REP simulations in Blender in two easy steps

Hi fferri,

Thanks.

glTF is indeed a better option. This is just something that I quickly threw toghether to fit my needs (something like 2 hours of work). Maybe I will look into the glTF option in the future if I find some time (I've been extremely busy lately).

Kind regards,
Boris

Tutorial: Render V-REP simulations in Blender in two easy steps

I made a tutorial on how to export V-REP simulations into Blender. To do this I created a V-REP model and a blender script that does all the work. These are available here.

This results in a video like this (actual quality is better due to Youtube compression)

Toggle visualization from script

Hi,

For me, it would be if the functionality behind the button 'toggle visualization' would be controllable from a script.

Kind regards,

Re: Acces to light related parameters

Hi,

Thanks again for making these parameters available so quickly.

Dynamic lights are now available in the V-REP VR Interface. A video demonstrating this is available here. The interface itself can be downloaded here.

Kind regards,
Boris
