inverse kinematics in industrial robots

Hello all, I need to construct a dataset for studying the inverse kinematics problem of an industrial robot. I would like to use VREP to generate the data, following these steps: 1.- use a model with the inverse kinematics done in VREP. 2.- generate random values for each of the joints within joint ...

Re: Differences in control form LUA script vs MATLAB

Hello all,

Once identified the problem (I think) I am still struggling to find a good way of synchronization between MATLAB and VREP.
Does anyone have any good idea to make it work?

Thank you all in advance.

Re: Differences in control form LUA script vs MATLAB

Hello again, First of all thank you for your tips and help to identify the problem... Now I explain data obtained following your idea so far. The way I am launching the simulation is as follows: I launch the scene. The scene is paused inmediately in VREP, then I launch the MATLAB script, that resume...

Re: Differences in control form LUA script vs MATLAB

Hello again, I have tested what you have recommended. Here are the results/ possible conclussions: My control loop, following your advice, is as follows: dt = 0.01; while(true) [~, angle] = vrep.simxGetJointPosition(clientID, Rjoint1, vrep.simx_opmode_oneshot); u_angle = pid_output(pidRot, 0, angle,...

Re: Differences in control form LUA script vs MATLAB

Hello all, I have tried to implement synchronous mode, however, the system, after oscillating becomes inestable when controlling it from Matlab, using the same code and constants to implement the PIDs. In VREP I connect the remote API as follows: simRemoteApi.start(19999,1300,false,true) And my code...

Differences in control form LUA script vs MATLAB

Dear All, I have continued working on the inverted pendulum control with a PID. Currently I have the pendulum controlled using a LUA non-threaded child script. As a next step, I have taken the control out from the child script to MATLAB, trying to replicate the same code using the Remote API. The re...

Controlling inverted pendulum from MATLAB (PID control)

Dear all, I have been searching in the forum for similar problems, and although I have found related questions, none of them help me to solve my problem. I have downloaded the scene proposed in : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-gCr4icl1k , as long as the python code related to the control. I am tr...

Controlling elements from other elements´ scripts

Hello all, First of all sorry if my questions is too simple, but I can not find a proper response from the scene examples. Can I control or command a movement of a robot, from the script of a conveyor belt, for example? The situation is as follows: 1.- In my scene, I have a robot and a conveyor belt...

Tool change and fixed orientation of tool in industrial simulation

Dear all, A student of mine is trying to simulate an industrial procress using a Kuka robot in VRep. We are stuck solving two things which are common in industrial setups: A tool chage operation and a linear movement with the robot tool mantaining a fixed orientation. Related to tool changing, we fo...
