Re: Matlab planned path different in Coppelia

Hi, My path does not have a disturbance in it. However, at the beginning of the simulation, the robot path deviates from the desired one. I give the robot adequate desired joint positions but in the first iteration what simxGetJointPosition returns is number 43 for each joint position, and you can c...

Felt pen leaves no trace on cuboid

Hello, I am using a UR5 robot with RG2 gripper and a felt pen. The gripper is holding the pen and I want to write with it. I used a cuboid as an object to write on and I am trying to control the contact force between the pen and the cuboid. However, the pen does not leave any mark on the cuboid. The...

RG2 gripper with felt pen

Hello, I have a UR5 robot with an RG2 gripper. What I want to do is for the gripper to hold a felt pen and draw some lines on a table. So I want the gripper to be closed and holding the pen from the very start of the simulation. Is this possible to do? Also, is it possible to change the size of the ...

Re: Coppelia crashes when using Vortex

Hi,

Yes, I think that has something to do with it. I will try it on another machine with Windows 10.

Thanks!

Re: Coppelia crashes when using Vortex

Hello, Yes, Coppelia loads normally and so does the Vortex plugin. I checked the console window and it says plugin ''DynamicsVortex': load succeeded. The program and the simulation work fine until I select the Vortex engine and start the simulation after which Coppelia crashes, even in empty scenes....

Re: Coppelia crashes when using Vortex

Vortex doesn't work in any case. I ran it without any external dependencies and the same thing happened. After that, I tried running it with the existing UR5 model, with your other existing examples, even in empty scenes and it crashes every time. As soon as I select Vortex and start the simulation ...

Re: Coppelia crashes when using Vortex

Hello, I have a Coppelia Sim Edu v4.1.0 and it's running on 64-bit Windows 7 Professional. I also use the 64-bit Matlab R2019a version to communicate with Coppelia. I am attaching a Dropbox link with the scene that I use, remoteApiTest.ttt. The rest of the files are Matlab and Simulink models and fu...

Coppelia crashes when using Vortex

Hello, I'm running a Coppelia simulation from Matlab Remote API and I selected the Vortex physics engine. However, as soon as the simulation starts the whole CoppeliaSim program crashes. I read on the Dynamics module page that I should register on CM labs for a free license key which I did, but I di...

Access variable from parent object script

Hello, I'm using the UR5 model in CoppeliaSim. I added an associated child script to the 'UR5' object as well as associated child scripts to each of its 6 joints ('UR5_joint1', etc.), as I'm developing a custom controller. I want to send some variables via Matlab Remote API to the 'UR5' script using...
