Re: Matlab function parameter data typing

Thanks for the help. Yes, I should have been using "vrep.simxLoadScene" not "simxLoadScene". I don't normally use objects with Matlab, and so .... Although, I am surprised that Matlab did not declare "simxLoadScene" as undefined. FYI: The problem with the repeated output: Connected to remote API ser...

Re: Matlab function parameter data typing

Thanks for responding. Yes. I looked at and tried the various examples in the programming/remoteApiBindings/matlab/matlab folder. I used simpleTest.m as a starting framework. The logic steps are the same in my code as simpleTest.m. And, I am able to run simpleTest.m with no apparent problems (as lon...

Matlab function parameter data typing

I'm trying to create a Matlab remote API. I started with simpleTest.m and the BubbleRob scene. But I'm getting error(s) I cannot get resolve. Here's the function code: --------- function BubbleRobRemoteClient () fprintf ('\nRemote Client Started\n'); % Constant declarations scenePathAndName = '/Deve...

Remote API

In the child script for remoteAPIControlledBubbleRob, the client is launched with the statement:

result=simLaunchExecutable('bubbleRobClient',portNb.." "..leftMotor.." "..rightMotor.." "..noseSensor,0)

My question is: how does V-REP know the path to bubbleRobClient executable?

Re: How to achieve the communication of the two programs

Follow-up question: the example uses the same port number for the both the client and the server. Implying a bidirectional socket is created. Is this required? Can V-REP handle unidirectional sockets?

server IP address

Is there anyway to change the IP address used by a V-REP server? E.g. when running V-REP on a multi-homed machine?

Re: auxilliary console

I figured it out: the opening/closing code goes into the main script. Not into the client....

Onwards and downwards.

auxilliary console

I'm running V-REP on Mac OX X (v10.10). I'm just getting started on understanding the software so I can write my own control code. I've been trying to output some data from the child script of the remoteApiController of the controlTypeExamples tutorial. Comments in the forum suggest that with Mac OS...
