I have been following the tutorial, up to the point of placing the cylinders, setting a wheel target speed and starting the simulation, to see the obstacle distance plotted in the graph. As soon as I start the simulation, CoppeliaSim crashes. The issue is systematic.

How can I collect additional information to troubleshoot this issue? Any workaround to prevent the crash?

I have uploaded the scene at https://filebin.net/yu9twtgty2ekmmr9 (it will be available for 1 week).

Running CoppeliaSim edu Version 4.0.0 rev. 1 under Ubuntu 18.04.

the bug was corrected. You can either re-download the whole package, or only the incriminated library:
ubuntu16_04
ubuntu18_04
