I believe there is an issue with the most recent version of the remoteApi.dll file.
Both Checkcollision and CheckDistance functions throw an error during the loading process of sim.py. I've confirmed this by commenting out those two lines(91,92) in the file and then running the app without issue.

I downloaded the remoteApi.dll associated with the version I'm running (V 4.2.0) and still have this issue.

Not sure If I am missing something or if this is indeed a bug.

you are perfectly correct, something is wrong!
We have updated the libraries (Windows and Ubuntu, MacOS should follow shortly) in the remoteApiBindings repository.
