processorCoreAffinity

Post by ryt »

I want to run V-REP on my 1st and 2nd processor cores and uses another cores for different purposes (4 cores in total). I have seen the processorCoreAffinity in system/usrset.txt and tried to set it into value of 3 (affinity mask bit1 and bit2). However, I noticed that there was no difference. All my cores were fully utilized. I think that I might did some mistake.
Could you help me on this?

Thanks
Best Regards

Hello,

the processorCoreAffinity is only used on the Windows platform. And only to adjust the affinity of the threads created by threaded child scripts. But the effect is most of the time minimal, and it is recommended to keep its default value.

Cheers
