Atach arm to mobile plataform

Hello. What is the correct way to place an existing model of a manipulator on a mobile robot base ? for example the 7Dof manipulator on a p3-dx mobile robot?

Hi ,
I think the edit >group or merge function will help you deal with this problem.You can select the base part of the arm and the platform part you wana set on,right click ,you will find the edit .Thank you.

Hi! it does work well with Grouping the manipulator with the base of the robot, but i noted that the main objet of the manipulator desapeared when i do this , do you know why?
does anyone have a simple 6 dof servo manipulator model? like the educational manipulators ?

Hello,

usually you should use a force/torque sensor in-between the manipulator base, and the mobile platform. So basically:

mobilePlatform (non-static object) --> force/torque sensor --> baseOfManipulator (non-static object)

In a few days, there will be a new V-REP release (V3.1.1), which will include the P3DX Pioneer model.
