Problem with import new models...

Post by Vegus »

Hello,
I have a problem with importing new models. I tried to import as DXF, OBJ, 3DS and i still have the same problem:
Importing shape from OBJ format...
--> C:/Users/lukas_000/Desktop/V-REP/LF_CAD/model.obj
done.
And i can't see my model in scene hierarchy and scene...
I done my models in program NX, then converted it to DXF and next thanks program AccuTrans3D i converted it to OBJ and 3DS format.

Thanks for response!

your DXF file contains no 3D information (DXF can contain various type of information), or no triangular information (lines cannot be imported into V-REP, only triangles!).

Maybe i will explain step by step what i'm doing. At the beginning i created block in program NX:

http://www5.zippyshare.com/v/42157002/file.html

Next i saved that model as AutoCAD DXF File:

http://www10.zippyshare.com/v/41411476/file.html

Then i tried in V-REP import DXF:

http://www73.zippyshare.com/v/41086444/file.html

And result:

http://www51.zippyshare.com/v/23190550/file.html

What i am doing wrong? Can anyone advise a program which can convert that dxf file to right dxf?

Regards

You won't be able to correctly convert that DXF file, since it is just a collection of lines. Maybe you can specify export options? Or maybe you can use a different fileformat (e.g. obj, 3ds, stl, dxf, collada).
You can download the following excellent visualization/conversion application: AccuTrans 3D.
