How do I get/compute the correct moments of inertia for an arbitrary shape (e.g. an imported convex mesh)?

Maybe this would be nice as a feature to be able to compute this?

Standard CAD programs that can calculate, but it is time consuming to setup for each object, but rather would like to import / export properities (but this option would need to support the CAD programs).

Actually we have a plan to let V-REP automatically calculate the inertia, based on a volumetric mass coeff in case of a volume, or based on a mass/surface coeff in case of open shapes. But a release date is not yet fixed
