Frictionless sliding vs sphere rolling on an inclined plane

Hi everyone,
I'm new to V-rep (and robotics simulation) and really loving it so far! :)
Thank you goes for the developers!

I have a 5 degrees incline on a resizable floor, with a sphere made from high friction material, and a cuboid made from friction less material.

for some reason, the frictionless cuboid slides down the plane faster than the sphere (that is rolling down)

I believe that both object should have exactly the same acceleration.. but I might be in the wrong here, making a basic physics mistake.

So, is something not modeled properly? is the physics wrong on the simulator or in my head? please help me out :)

Hello Sachar,

your sphere is rolling and translating: it accumulates energy as rotational and translational energy. Your box is only accumulating energy as translational energy. So this is normal.
