Manipulator not stopping accurately

Hello all,
I am working on my final year project which requires the design of manipulator using shapes and joints. It is working in Ik mode and FD mode and picking and placing boxes.
I have added a stop sensor to make it stop after picking and placing all the boxes.
The issue is it sometimes places 2 boxes and then stops, sometimes 3 and sometimes 4.
I guess the issue is there is more difference between the sensors and the table. But I am unable to find a solution for this. Another query is I have to calculate the energy of each joint to calculate energy consumption for the whole system. I cannot figure out how to do this.
