Hello,
I'm having issues installing V-Rep on my Ubuntu 13.10 machine.
At first I tried to run the precompiled v-rep and also after installing all the dependencies (and checking with ldd) I got:
Error: could not find or correctly load the V-REP library
Then I tried to compile V-REP but got also some strange error message.
When I'm trying to start the precompiled V-Rep I now get the following error message:
Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x40804) with this library (version 0x40801)
Aborted (core dumped)
I guess this is because of having compiled and installed QScintilla, but I don't know how to resolve this problem.
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Jan

Re: Installing V-Rep on Ubuntu 13.10 x64
I've solved this issue by removing all libQt* files from the V-REP directory. But I've got Kubuntu 13.04. Hope that helps anyway. In case your internet connection is too slow for a new download of V-REP (if something went wrong) don't forget to make a backup of anything you want to delete!
Re: Installing V-Rep on Ubuntu 13.10 x64
I'm curious if the new release of V-REP (V3.0.5b) also requires that kind of tweak on your system... (V-REP 3.0.5b relies on Qt5.1.1)
Cheers

Thanks a lot for the replies.
I've set up an Ubuntu 12.04 x64 VM in Vmware Player for setting up ROS and V-REP. In this VM V-Rep worked out of the box. I'll check again what was wrong on my Ubuntu 13.10 system.

The new Version of V-REP also runs out of the box on my 13.10x64 Ubuntu System.
