Hello, I have a successful remote connection between Visual Studio (using C++) and CoppeliaSim for a program I am working on. I was wondering, is it possible to easily move this project to Visual Studio Code including reconnecting the remote connection? And is this recommended, or is Visual Studio a better platform?
Thanks!
Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
Re: Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
Hello,
I am having difficulties understanding what you want to do...
So you have a c++ application that connects to CoppeliaSim via the ZeroMQ remote API (or maybe legacy remote API). What do you mean with move this project to Visual Studio?
Cheers

Re: Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
Yes, so to give some context, I am working on making a programme for students to use. Right now I'm using Visual Studio to remotely control CoppeliaSim. However, Visual Studio is quite heavy for students to download, so now I am wondering if it is possible to use Visual Studio Code instead, and if you had any recommendations for or against that idea? (As in if you have had experience using Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code in the past, which one is better in your opinion?)
Re: Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
Ok, now I understand, sorry for the confusion.
It really shouldn't matter which of the two you are using, and the decision is actually completely independent on CoppeliaSim in that case.

Re: Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
It seems Visual Studio Code can be used for C/C++ development so you should be able to develop C/C++ remote API clients also with Visual Studio Code
