M1 macOS 12.6 Working Coppelia Sim Crashes with Mujoco
Hi,
I have a M1 Macbook Pro running Coppelia Sim 4.4.0 Edu Version (Qt Version 5.15.5, Clang).
I have used all the physics engines except Mujoco successfully and had no issues. However, when I set the physics engine to Mujoco and click to run, the application crashes immediately without any error message whatsoever.
Do you have any idea what can be the source of the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
my guess is that CoppeliaSim is not yet supported natively on M1 - yet. Hopefully in a few weeks. Probably this relates to AVX, SSE and similar.
Cheers

If you execute the application in Terminal.app (provided you installed coppeliaSim into the Applications folder, typecembilaloglu wrote: ↑24 Oct 2022, 12:57 the application crashes immediately without any error message whatsoever
/Applications/coppeliaSim.app/Contents/MacOS/coppeliaSim
and press return), you should see startup messages, and possibly a message related to the crash. Can you paste here what you get?-

Hi, below is the lines written to the terminal during the crash. There is no error before those.
FALLBACK (log once): Fallback to SW vertex for line stipple
FALLBACK (log once): Fallback to SW vertex processing, m_disable_code: 2000
FALLBACK (log once): Fallback to SW vertex processing in drawCore, m_disable_code: 2000
[simExtMujoco:warning] make sure your CPU supports AVX, SSE and similar, otherwise you might see a crash now...

Re: M1 macOS 12.6 Working Coppelia Sim Crashes with Mujoco
Yes, this is very probably due to the fact that m1 is not yet natively supported.

Thanks, but do you have a timeline for when it will be available on M1?
Re: M1 macOS 12.6 Working Coppelia Sim Crashes with Mujoco
This should hopefully be out in 3-4 weeks of time.
