Model moving even after I delete the code

I built a very simple model and wrote a simple code to rotate a joint. The joint worked as expected. Then I deleted the code that makes the joint turn and it is supposed to do nothing, but the joint still rotates like it did previously. I'm very confused. It's like it's not following my updated script. Any help will be appreciated
